I’ve decided I’m making it a priority to blog every other day. 🙂
I woke up this morning, as usual, to Emily’s cry. I tapped Sean habitually on the shoulder to let him know that morning had come early today. He got up to change her diaper and bring her back to me to nurse. When Emily saw me this morning she started dancing and saying, “AHHHHHHHH!” What a wonderful way to wake up to a baby.
We have our morning snuggle time. She will lay in between Sean and me and chatter and play while we both try to wake ourselves up for another day. It’s a gentle way of waking up in the morning. It’s less jarring than it used to be. She likes to sit and point the ceiling fan and start telling us stories in her own little language. She’ll try to wake up a sleeping Sean by poking his face and squealing. We tickle her and we hear little baby giggles. She loves us. We love her. It’s such a pure love too. So natural.
I need to treasure these mornings. They are so incredibly special. Our little family time.
Smile at each other, smile at your wife, smile at your husband, smile at your children, smile at each other – it doesn’t matter who it is and that will help you to grow up in greater love for each other. – Mother Teresa
